David Punter (current President) delivered his annual report on the challenges and successes
of the IAEA over the last year.

The AGM for the IAEA was held on 14 September 2024 at Stonebridge Golf Club,
Somers Rd, Meriden, Coventry CV7 7PL at 11:30am.

Income in 2024 will increase due to
AQP accreditation as the programme
commences, and we will see this
reinvested into training and education
as we go ahead.

challenges and successes of the
IAEA over the last year touching on
the supplier change, infrastructure
upgrades, attendance of events and
support of the VDA of the year, and our
昀椀nalisation of the AQP certi昀椀cation of
users for the correct categorisation of
salvage under the ABI.
The minutes were offered for review
digitally before the meeting with
the approval of minutes nominated,
seconded and approved.
Gary Hunt (Finance Of昀椀cer) issued
his report for the 昀椀nancial year 2023
with the support of GP Financial
Management as our accountant, also
reviewed by Elsby Accounts & Advisory
in Northampton as our auditor for this
period.
Income was just above £204,000 which
was mainly £138,720 for membership
(down from 2022).
Expenditure for 2023 was at £258,108
(as opposed to £220,000 in 2022)
which is related to the changeover in
administration and some overlap and
security costs which needed to be
addressed.
Education saw a reduction on cost of
around £10,000 which was as result of
the outgoing assessor magazine not
being produced for a period whilst the
assessor moved to its new publisher.
Debtors were at £16,939.00 but our
new accountants have reduced this to
almost nothing.

Accounts & Advisory in Northampton,
which was nominated, seconded and
approved as accepted.
David Punter (President) advised on
the election of new Council Members
where no vote was required as the
number standing would be under the
places available, and these were 昀椀lled
by:
• Victoria Whittle
• Daniel Holloway
• Rick Stone
• Chris Aplin (re appointed)
Retiring members were thanked for
their efforts, and they were:
• Chris Robbins
• Chris Jones
• Philip Roath
• Les Minton
These were nominated, seconded and
approved completely.
Questions and answers were taken
from the 昀氀oor and online, and a full
explanation of what was discussed
will be reviewed and offered in the
members area of the IAEA website.
Phil Briggs (President Elect) suggested
IAEA Council.
The IAEA had free reserves at the end
of 2023 昀椀nancial year at £569,908.
There was a de昀椀cit for the year of
£53,921 (against £24,000 for the
previous year) mainly due to the
