Damian Milling, UK Sales Director, ALLDATA Europe.
With more than 30 years’ experience of the automotive aftermarket, Damian Milling
brings a wealth of knowledge spanning motor factoring, manufacturing and independent
workshops to his post as UK Sales Director at ALLDATA Europe. Spearheading UK
operations at the leading provider of OEM repair, maintenance and diagnostic data,
Damian provides an insight on his role and how much he is enthused to represent a
company that he has admired from afar after 昀椀rst encountering at a trade show.
Can you provide a quick
overview of your career leading
up to joining ALLDATA?
I went straight from school into the
automotive aftermarket, starting at
the very bottom cutting cardboard
boxes and doing the jobs nobody
else wanted to do at a motor factor in
Devon and Cornwall. Over 22 years,
I worked my way through every role
in that business, eventually becoming
sales and marketing manager, leading
teams across 18 branches.
After that, I moved into the OEM
and Tier 1 supply sector, spending a
decade working with leading brands in
the automotive aftermarket. During this
time, I gained extensive experience
across product quality, manufacturing
operations, and sales and marketing
within the trade. I joined ALLDATA
Europe in September 2025 as UK Sales
Director.
With ALLDATA and its OEM repair and
diagnostic information, we complete
the triangle of OEM-quality parts
and trained technicians. It enables
professionals to deliver OE-quality
repairs, done correctly, at great value
for the consumer. That belief in doing
the job right, every single time, is what
really excites me.
You were reportedly a long-time
admirer of the company and
were determined to land your
position – what excites you so
much?
What expertise and experience
have you brought to the role?
I have to believe in what I represent.
Coming from an OEM background, I’ve
seen that even the best parts and the
best technicians can fail if the correct
diagnostic and repair processes aren’t
followed.
I bring real-world experience, empathy
and a deep understanding of the
aftermarket. During my career, I’ve
spent considerable time talking
to bodyshops and workshops,
understanding the challenges they face
ALLDATA covers 44 VMs including Tesla with its data detailing the repairs that are permitted on the brand’s gigacast structures as described in the panel on the page opposite.
