DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THESE?
A blast from the past! Who remembers the printed repair
methods booklets?
Before escribe, repair methods were shared through our
printed booklets, says Thatcham Research, sharing images of
the booklets!
“As vehicles have become more advanced, so too has
the way repair information is delivered,” said Thatcham
Research. “Today, escribe provides repairers with instant
access to trusted repair methods, ADAS and EV alerts, expert
technical support, and repair intelligence developed in our
Repair Technology Centre.
“It’s come a long way since these booklets, but our mission
remains unchanged: helping repairers access the right
information at the right time.”

The Uber and Wayve partnership marks the 昀椀rst time
autonomous vehicle (AV) trips are available in the UK.
It’s part of a one-year trial, with Transport for London
approving up to 15 vehicles. The modi昀椀ed Wayve cars are
approved as private hire vehicles rather than as automated
vehicles, which means a licensed PHV driver has to be
aboard and legally responsible for the car throughout every
journey.
Any AV on the Uber network must meet all of the company’s
Safety Guidelines. The initial launch phase features
supervised autonomous rides, meaning a trained and TfL
licensed private hire driver is onboard to oversee the trip.

parties which have been holding talks with advisers to the
AA about a deal. Banking sources said that Allianz, which
has a market capitalisation of over £144bn, had been in
discussions about an offer over a period of several months,
but cautioned that the current status of negotiations and
