I’ve spent over 35 years in vehicle
development, engineering research
and development. I’ve seen a lot of
new ideas come and go, but when
you understand the engineering and
commercial advantages of EV you
know why the car industry has been
trying to make viable EVs since the
‘90s.
Motor technology is absolutely
phenomenal now, the stuff I’m testing
here is getting over 97.5% ef昀椀ciency
peak, and averaging over 94%.
Compared to a combustion engined
car with a peak ef昀椀ciency of maybe
35% but an average ef昀椀ciency of under
17% on an average drive.
