Angela Barnes returned to announce
the winners of several key categories,
each recipient proudly taking home
the coveted ATF Award trophy.
The ceremony also featured three
special accolades, presented by the
directors of ATF Professional: the
Unsung Hero Award to Mark Leach
from K&M Global, the Rising Star
Award, presented to John and James
Spencer, and Adam Murray received
the Outstanding Individual Award,
honouring exceptional contributions to
the 昀椀eld.
Presenting Adam with the Outstanding
Individual Award, Haydn Davies, ATF
Professional Director, said on the
evening:
“The person about to receive the ATF
Professional Outstanding Individual
Award could be described as a
visionary whose contributions have
transformed the vehicle recycling and
salvage sectors.
“With over three decades in motor
insurance, he identi昀椀ed untapped

potential in integrating reclaimed parts
into repair processes. Five years ago,
he helped launch a system to improve
standards, ensuring only high-quality,
non-safety-critical parts, like doors
and bumpers, were used. Partnering
with the British Standards Institute, he
developed a grading certi昀椀cation that
assures customers of the parts’ quality,
instilling con昀椀dence in reclaimed
components.
“He tackled complex challenges in the
vehicle salvage industry by advocating
for stricter regulations around vehicle
categorisation and salvage sales,
especially focusing on non-repairable
and hazardous parts. He championed
the adoption of a centralised supply
chain’ hub,’ connecting recyclers,
repair shops, and insurers, signi昀椀cantly
reducing repair times and waste.
“Over the years, he has been
implemental in creating standards such
as PAS 777 and BS 10125. He has not
only been a driver in our particular
sector but has also been involved with
the IAEA, once being its chairman and
on the board of the IMI as well as the
ABI. This just indicates his wholesome,
methodological and pragmatic
approach towards the recycling of a
vehicle, not only in creating value,
ef昀椀ciency and sustainability but also
in terms of being at the forefront
of instigating correct protocol that
establishes good practice and
understanding for everyone involved.
“By rede昀椀ning standards, encouraging
compliance, and building
cross-industry collaborations, he
has helped create a legacy of
sustainability and safety. Please join me
in congratulating Adam Murray, this
year’s distinguished recipient of the
Outstanding Individual Award!”
On behalf of our Members, the IAEA
would like to congratulate Adam on his
well deserved award win!
